In my Religion and Society class students have a group project to build a religion of MTSU and identify “sacred” objects, places, and persons. This group made me their totem. A little awkward, but mostly hilarious. #mtsureligion #beingaprofessor #rs2030Why did you do all this for me?' he asked. 'I don't deserve it. I've never done anything for you.' Happy to spend time together after not seeing each other for several years! #oldfriends @mysticmonk2For Halloween, some of my Religion and Society students dressed up as the most important lessons from class. From left to right: National identity as totem; collective effervescence; and mortuary cannibalism among the Wari. I officially have the best students ever! #mtsureligion #beingaprofessorFoliage et al. #autumn #thanksgiving #homeI’ve seen Dar Williams in Nashville, Atlanta, Ottawa, Toronto, Burlington VT, multiple times at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, and other venues across upstate New York and New England. Her music has narrated every move, road trip, heartbreak, and big moment in my life. Tonight I saw her perform at Upper Canada Playhouse in my hometown. It was so cool to see her on the same stage that I did theatre and improv as a kid. As always she was witty, genuine, and enchanting. This may or may not be the perfect #thanksgiving weekend. #darwilliams #home #stlawrenceacousticstageAdvanced polls. #hometovote #election43 #wethreekingsActivities
